A few years ago, I asked for Kate Moss's Vintage perfume for my birthday. As a naive 16 year old, I decided on it purely for the name. I had never even come close to smelling it. However, once I did, I was hooked. I fell in love with the floral, vanilla hinted scent. I wore it daily, and it quickly became my signature scent. Friends noticed when I wasn't wearing it, and my confidence grew with a spritz of Vintage.
And then it was discontinued.
So I stopped wearing it daily, and instead used it only for special occasions. But as the bottle emptied, I began to give up hope. Eventually, my scent would run dry and I would have to find an alternative, which could never hope to fill the void.
I started looking into alternatives. Le Parfum by Elie Saab was a strong contender, as was Viktor and Rolf's Flowerbomb. But after the initial good smell, both just left me disheartened and disappointed. Even the classics, such as Chanel No.5 or Dior J'adore couldn't measure up.
But then, after a family party for which I permitted myself a spray of my beloved Vintage, I began the search. Somewhere, across the vast plains of the internet, there must be a few bottles left. And indeed there was. I found this site, and ordered immediately. And although I know it can't last forever, I finally feel like myself again.
