Yesterday I went for a spot of lunch with a couple of friends at the Pitcher & Piano in Birmingham's Brindley Place. I've been here before for drinks, but I was really impressed by the food.
The interior is really cool, with lots of velvet and leather in different colours to create a thrown-together feel. The shelves behind our table were full of old penguin editions of classic novels.
So, onto the food. I had the BBQ chicken and chorizo flatbread with roasted garlic crème fraîche and rocket. It was freaking amazing. Honestly, I'm thinking of recreating it at home, though I know I'd never do it justice. Chris had the hot dog, and Will opted for the fish finger buttie, because they're simple lads at heart :P We also got some mac 'n' cheese to share, which was really good, but nothing can beat mama's recipe! Overall, the P&P comes highly recommended. Fantastic location, awesome atmosphere and amazing food.
