"You're pretty hot, when you're not wearing crazy stuff."
Whilst this would never be a reason for me to change my tastes, it does beg the question, why do guys just not get some things when it comes to fashion? And why is it that the shoes I fell in love with seem to repel men everywhere?
I'm referring to these Aldo beauties. I found them in the Aldo sale shop in Camden whilst I was interning in London, and with 30% off, I was sold. I've worn them a lot since, but I have had a few comments from guys who don't particularly appreciate them.
I mean, I kinda get it. They're not exactly elegant or sexy, and they do have more than a hint of the Amish about them, but I love the colour and heel height and the fringing and WHY DON'T MEN UNDERSTAND?
Don't get me wrong. I won't stop wearing them because the opposite gender feel I should. I still love them to the moon and back. And maybe it's not just men. Perhaps there are women out there who would agree. But it's sad to think that my beautiful new shoes won't receive the kind of admiration that they deserve.
