Wedding Dresses and Jean Paul Gaultier

When deciding what I would do with my first Saturday in London, I was spoiled for choice. But I finally decided to go down the cultural route and visit a couple of exhibitions that have caught my eye. Wedding Dresses at the Victoria and Albert is a really interesting and beautiful look back to the 18th century, and how bridal traditions have developed. There are some truly breathtaking designs, but unfortunately, photography was prohibited. Thankfully, Grazia have put together a pretty good slideshow of the exhibitions best bits, including an interview with the curator.

After the exhibition, I wandered around South Kensington for a while, taking in the beautiful architecture on one of the sunniest days of the year so far. And then I headed to Paul to grab some lunch, and discovered something amazing.

I then headed to the Barbican to visit the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition. It was a fantastic look at the work of L'enfant terrible, and painted a brilliant picture of his processes and outcomes. Here, photography was allowed, so I went all out.
