The Mother's 50th

Yesterday was my mother's 50th birthday. I know, I'm just as shocked as you are.

We surprised her with a breakfast of croissants and Bucks Fizz, before whisking her away to Lea Marston Spa for a day of pampering.

Lea Marston Hotel and Spa

The spa was amazing, and the staff were really attentive. We tried the steam room, sauna, jacuzzi and pool, and had a treatment each as part of the package. I would definitely recommend the place.

In the evening, we went out for a meal with family to The Green House in Sutton Coldfield. Can't say I was overly impressed with this place, even though I had been told it was very nice. However, it was lovely to see everyone again and share some laughs and a few memories. Here's what I wore.

Dress - Warehouse
Jacket - Boohoo
Necklace - Oasis
Shoes - Boohoo

Mum and Dad

Grandma and Grandpa

Auntie Kate, cousin Oliver, great auntie Helen and great great grandma Pat

As my mum is a big hedgehog-lover, we decided to order her a custom cake, courtesy of the same woman who made my sister's wedding cake last year. We were very happy with the result, as was mum!

After a day spent with the people who mean most to me, I realise how lucky I really am. And there's nothing like a few drinks to create some real memories, as this lot proved!
