Baroness Thatcher died yesterday morning at the age of 87, following a stroke. She led the country from 1979-1990 as the first woman to be elected leader of any major western state. Now that's quite an achievement.
You may not agree with all of Thatcher's decisions. You may not believe she had the country's best interests at heart. But we have lost an icon. Margaret Thatcher will always be a huge part of this country's history, and, perhaps more importantly, she gave women a voice.
