Resolutions for 2013

I am terrible at keeping resolutions, to the point where I rarely bother with them anymore. But as 2012 comes to a close, I'm starting to feel the need for change. And so I've decided on a few areas for improvement.

1. Sing
All my life I've loved to sing. I find it to be very therapeutic. At Sixth Form last year, I starred in two musicals, and did a Performing Arts course, so I had plenty of opportunities to perform. Now though, with my degree in fashion, it's becoming increasingly difficult to make time for my musical side. Hopefully, I'll be recording some more stuff for my YouTube channel, getting involved with the Live Music Society at uni, and looking out for performance opportunities.

2. Say yes
It's too easy to say no. When an opportunity comes along, however big or small, it is human nature to weigh up the risks first, and all too often this is enough to put us off. So this year, the risks are second on my list. It's time to grab every opportunity with both hands.

3. Photograph more
The plan is to buy a DSLR camera when my student finance comes in. I've wanted to get into photography for ages, and now I'm in a position where it would benefit both my education and my hobbies. So, I've bought a photography handbook, and taken on a new challenge...

4. Project 365
Basically, a photo a day for a year. I read this post by Elsie of A Beautiful Mess, and then this article on IFB, and I fell in love with the idea. Regular posts, photography practice and an excuse to get the camera out more often. Sounds like the perfect resolution for 2013.

And, of course, a wonderful new year to you all!
